Woman, 9 others booked for minor’s kidnap

In an FIR lodged at the Sadar police station today, the police have named a woman and nine others in the case of rape and kidnapping of a minor girl.

While the Sadar police have another FIR against the key suspect, Ajaib Singh, in the case, others named in the FIR include Bhajan Lal, alias Matti, Satish Kamar, alias Ghoogar, Charandas, alias Charna, Gurcharan Singh, Neela Devi, a resident of Chauhal, and four unidentified people.

The suspects have been booked under Sections 452, 323, 506, 365, 120-B, 148 and 149 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

The girl is still missing.

A police official, Balwinder Singh, said after a complaint by the father of the girl, the police lodged another case against the main accused.

He said various police teams had been conducting raids in the city to arrest the suspects.

The girl’s father, a resident of Chauhal, complained to the police that his minor daughter was allegedly raped by a man, who, along with his accomplices, had forcibly entered their home and made them captive, before kidnapping her.
