Women like to have mentors to face job challenges

As more and more women enter the workforce, a survey has revealed that a large majority (86 per cent) of those polled like to have mentors to seek advice and navigate the challenges at the workplace.



As more and more women enter the workforce, a survey has revealed that a large majority (86 per cent) of those polled like to have mentors to seek advice and navigate the challenges at the workplace.

According to a survey by Pink Ladder that works in the area of a better career enhancement ecosystem, 86 per cent women respondents would like access to a mentor for advice. 

The survey, held in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Pune covering different industry sectors, finds that about 82 per cent of respondents feel that employers should celebrate internal success stories of women who have broken the glass ceiling to motivate others.

Wellness, stress management, and personal grooming seem to be areas women would like to focus on with 88 per cent saying they would like their employers to organise workshops around these issues to help create a positive image about themselves.
