Streaming giant Netflix has reportedly cancelled the freshman comedy series Girlboss. The show, inspired by Sophia Amoruso’s popular autobiography, starred Britt Robertson and Ellie Reed. Its 13-episode first season debuted on April 21. Sophia, whose life was the inspiration for the series, shared the news of the series being cancelled in her Instagram stories.

“So that Netflix series about my life got cancelled,” wrote Sophia. “While I’m proud of the work we did, I’m looking forward to controlling my narrative from here on out. It was a good show and I was privileged to work with incredible talent, but living my life as a caricature was hard even if only for two months,” added Sophia.

This is the latest in a series of cancellations for Netflix in the past few weeks. The streaming giant also recently canceled the hip-hop drama The Get Down after one season in May.
