LUDHIANA: Rurkra Wing today scored a second win in a row in the football competition for boys U-17 in the 65th Punjab Inter-District Games being held here at Guru Nanak Stadium.

Rurkra Wing today scored a second win in a row in the football competition for boys U-17 in the 65th Punjab Inter-District Games being held here at Guru Nanak Stadium.

Rurka Wing beat Muktsar 2-0 to register their second victory. Yesterday, they defeated Bathinda 4-0 to start their title hunt on a sound note.

Ghuda Wing players also recorded their second win today. After beating Sangrur 2-0 yesterday, they overpowered Jalandhar today 2-1.

In other matches, Punjab Institute of Sports (PIS), Mahilpur, pipped Davindera International Academy of Amritsar 1-0; Patiala got the better of Hoshiarpur 2-1; Bathinda drew against Moga 2-2; Sangrur beat Football Academy, Bhaini Sahib, 2-0; Nikke Ghuman (Gurdaspur) drew against Tarn Taran 1-1; Bado Wing overpowered Faridkot 1-0.

Phagwara Wing overwhelmed Barnala 14-0; Fazilka outplayed Ferozepur 4-0; Gurdaspur beat Fatehgarh Sahib 2-1; Kapurthala thrashed Pathankot 5-0; PIS, Anandpur Sahib, routed Nawanshahr 5-0; Amritsar prevailed over Mohali 1-0; Paldi Wing outperformed Ropar 3-0 and Ludhiana blanked Mansa 3-0.
