Ludhiana: Students of Police DAV Public School, Police Line brought laurels to school by being selected at state-level in Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM) - a National programme for educating and popularising science among students of Classes VI- XI.



Ludhiana: Students of Police DAV Public School, Police Line brought laurels to school by being selected at state-level in Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM) - a National programme for educating and popularising science among students of Classes  VI- XI. In this competition, 88 students of the school participated. Tathya, Tritesh and Jasmeen of Class VI performed exceptionally well and got selected at state-level competition to be held in Jalandhar. Annual athletics meet

Sports form an integral part of curriculum and provide agility to body and promote quick decision making. Keeping this in mind DAV Public School, BRS Nagar on Monday organised an annual athletic meet for the KG and the primary wing. The event started with flag hoisting ceremony and march past by the students. The colourful cultural programme presented by the tiny tots stole the hearts of the spectators. Various events were organised to hone and develop stamina of the students. Little angels put their best foot forward competing in races and other events, while displaying true sportsmanship. The winners of various events were awarded with medals.

Christmas carnival organised

Christmas is a time of merry making and meeting up with loved ones, spreading goodwill, warmth and generosity everywhere. Soaking in the spirit of Christmas, the students of Ryan International School, Dugri, took part in the Christmas carnival organised at the school premises. Interesting games, mouth-watering snacks, live music, selfie with Santa, photobooth, live DIY  arty crafty workshop and handmade craft items were the main attraction of the carnival. The children loved every moment of the carnival which was organised to entertain them. 

‘Ganit Week’ celebrated

To commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr Srinivasa Ramanujan, week-long celebrations commenced at BCM School, Chandigarh Road. The celebrations began with a special morning assembly dedicated to the great mathematician. The motive of celebrating ‘Ganit Week’ is to acquaint with the subject in a better way and help them to cognize the subject in a fun manner.  The school will conduct a series of activities for the students that will enable the students to advance their aptitude potential and confidence for the subject. Activities such as designing maths book cover, making of book mark, PPT competition on the topic ‘Uses Of Maths’, model making on the topic ‘fun with shapes’, collage making, etc will also be organised throughout the week. 

Prize distribution function

Annual prize distribution function of St Bawra Public High School was held on Monday. The function began with a ‘bhajan’ by the school students followed by a couple of patriotic theme-based performances. It included ‘group dance’ ,  kwali,  skits,  bhangra and  giddha. ‘Ras Leela’ was the main attraction of the function. The Principal, Chander Prabha gave away the prizes to meritorious students and encouraged the students to study hard.
