Startup Punjab yatra to give a boost to self-employment

LUDHIANA: To spread awareness about startup ecosystem, the state government in collaboration with the Government of India would organise “Startup India PunjabYatra” across the state.

To spread awareness about startup ecosystem, the state government in collaboration with the Government of India would organise “Startup India PunjabYatra” across the state.

The yatra would act as a platform to bring awareness about the government policies and incentives under the startup scheme and would provide an opportunity to youngsters to turn their innovative ideas into reality.

The objective of the programme would be to motivate youth, create self-employment, upgrading skills of entrepreneurs and to provide them support to set up their units under professional guidance.

General Manager District Industries Centre (GMDIC) Ludhiana Mahesh Khanna said the bootcamp regarding the same would be held at Punjab College of Technical Education, Baddowal, on January 29.

He said the “Startup India Punjab Yatra” van would stop at PAU from 9.30 am to 11 am and at Khalsa College for Women, Civil Lines, Ludhiana, from 12.30 pm to 2 pm on January 25.
