Three-day dental camp begins, 250 examined

KHANNA: A three-day dental camp begin at Desh Bhagat Dental College and Hospital, Mandi Gobindgarh, today.

A three-day dental camp begin at Desh Bhagat Dental College and Hospital, Mandi Gobindgarh, today.

On the first day, a large number of patients visited the hospital for treatment. The camp was inaugurated by Jaspreet Singh, IAS (SDM, Amloh ). He appreciated the initiative of the college.

To create awareness regarding the environmental protection, he planted a sapling at the campus.

Zora Singh, Chancellor, Desh Bhagat University, said more than 250 patients were examined by dentists. During the camp, besides general check-up and treatment, minor operations and surgeries were also performed.

Desh Bhagat Dental College Principal Rajiv Bali said the operations were performed at very reasonable rates.

Poor and needy patients were given free medicines, said Rajiv Bali.

The camp would continue till Saturday, he said. University Pro-Chancellor Tajinder Kaur said the patients were contented with the treatment and facilities provided by Desh Bhagat Dental College and Hospital during the camp.

Vice-Chancellor Virinder Singh and the Vice-President, Desh Bhagat United, Sandeep Singh, said the objective of the camp was to provide health facilities to the needy at affordable costs and create health awareness among them.

They appealed to people to get maximum advantage from the services being given by Desh Bhagat Dental College and Hospital.
