New Delhi: The Indian Medical Association (IMA) has backed Union Women and Child Development Minister Maneka Gandhi’s suggestion to make pre-natal sex determination compulsory to check female foeticide.



New Delhi: The Indian Medical Association (IMA) has backed Union Women and Child Development Minister Maneka Gandhi’s suggestion to make pre-natal sex determination compulsory to check female foeticide. The IMA said her statement indicated that the 20-year-old ban on foetal sex-determination may be lifted. India has one of the worst child sex ratio in the world. PTI
