Shah targets Sonia, Congress hits back

NEW DELHI: The BJP yet again targeted Sonia Gandhi on Thursday asking her to name the bribe takers in the Rs 3,600-core chopper deal.

New Delhi, April 28

The BJP yet again targeted Sonia Gandhi on Thursday asking her to name the bribe takers in the Rs 3,600-core chopper deal. Party president Amit Shah said: "It has been established by an Italian court that kickbacks were given. Rather than saying she (Sonia) is not afraid of anyone, she should clarify who received the kickbacks."

The Congress hit back saying BJP’s offensive on the issue was a reflection of their "insecurity and frustration".

Congress spokesperson Abhishek Singhvi said: “The BJP president should have been responsible while making such statements. Why should Congress president Sonia Gandhi explain, what should she explain?” — TNS
