The Shiv Sena is planning to move its MLAs to a secret location after they formally give their letters of support for a coalition government with the Nationalist Congress Party and the Congress, according to sources here.

Earlier today, the Shiv Sena MLAs were told by party chief Uddhav Thackeray that a Shiv Sainik would soon become the chief minister of Maharashtra as per his promise to late party founder Bal Thackeray.

The MLAs were not told who would be the chief minister though they demanded that Uddhav take over.

“Uddhavji has not told us anything. Only he knows who will become the chief minister. The Shiv Sena’s MLAs will abide by his decisions,” party MLA Pratap Sarnaik told reporters after Thackeray’s meeting with the newly elected legislators.

After the meeting, the Shiv Sena MLAs were moved to Hotel Lalit near the airport amidst speculation that they would be shifted to Jaipur.

The MLAs were earlier asked to come with change of clothes for five days apart from their PAN cards and Aadhar cards.

Sarnaik however denied that the Sena MLAs may be shifted to Jaipur.

“Our MLAs will stay at the Lalit. They are not being taken anywhere,” he said.

After meeting with the party MLAs Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray, his son Aaditya and other leaders were closeted in a meeting with leaders of the Congress and the NCP where finishing touches were being given for the alliance government.
