The SGPC on Wednesday submitted a memorandum to the DCP demanding to book a sect leader, Narain Dass Udaseen, for posting objectionable remark against Guru Arjan Dev on social media.

Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh has directed the SGPC and other Panthic organisations to get register cases under Section 295 A of the IPC against those who pass derogatory comments about Sikh Gurus.

Meanwhile, DSGMC general secretary Manjinder Singh Sirsa filed a police complaint against Narain Dass Udaseen Samparda for creating disharmony and hatred against the Sikh community by uttering “derogatory” words and giving “untrue” sermons hurting Sikh sentiments.

In the complaint lodged with the North Avenue police station, Delhi, Sirsa also gave the police a Facebook link which has a video of Narain Dass. Sirsa said Udaseen used derogatory words for Sikh Gurus for creating divide in the society and hurting the sentiments of the Sikh community.

He said Udaseen uttered objectionable words and phrases intentionally to create insulting and blasphemous pictures which were highly objectionable in nature. This had been done with a motive to create communal tension in the society.

Quoting his sermons, Sirsa informed that Udaseen said the Guru Sahib while recording Baani in Sri Guru Granth Sahib had changed the shabads of the Bhakts. Narain Dass Udaseen had basically no knowledge of the status of Guru Ravidass and his Bani, Sirsa said.
