Cong workers oppose Ghubaya’s candidature

Fazilka: Four days before the state goes to the polls, infighting in the Congress again came to the fore in Fazilka as a number of Congress workers led by former Congress MLA Dr Mohinder Kumar Rinwa expressed anguish over the party ticket to Sher Singh Ghubaya in front of party observer and former PPCC president HS Hanspal.



Fazilka: Four days before the state goes to the polls, infighting in the Congress again came to the fore in Fazilka as a number of Congress workers led by former Congress MLA Dr Mohinder Kumar Rinwa expressed anguish over the party ticket to Sher Singh Ghubaya in front of party observer and former PPCC president HS Hanspal. Hanspal was here to mollify Dr Rinwa and his supporters on Wednesday. At least 30 Congress workers submitted copies of the FIRs registered against them during the previous SAD-BJP and the present regime to Hanspal. Jalalabad Block Congress Committee president Prithvi Raj Doomra said Sher Singh never approached them for support. Hanspal said winability was considered before granting the ticket to Ghubaya. OC
