Kathua rape: Shops closed in Malerkotla

SANGRUR: All main markets of Malerkotla remained closed on Friday and residents organised a protest march, seeking justice for the Kathua rape victim.

All main markets of Malerkotla remained closed on Friday and residents organised a protest march, seeking justice for the Kathua rape victim. They demanded that the rape accused should be hanged. Different social organisations also organised a protest march in the city.

All residents converged at the Sirhandi gate and took out a protest march through main markets of the city. The police remained on toes all day.

In Sangrur city, various organisations first held a rally in Banasar Bagh and then protested in main markets of the city, demanding death for all accused.
