Sakshi Dhoni has finally broken her silence on retirement rumours of husband and Indian wicket-keeper-batsman Mahendra Singh Dhoni. After skipper Virat Kohli posted a fond memory with Dhoni, Twitterati started to speculate if “Dhoni would be retiring soon”.

Virat on Thursday recalled the 2016 World T20 clash against Australia when Dhoni made him "run like in a fitness test".

"A game I can never forget. Special night. This man, made me run like in a fitness test," Kohli tweeted the image of the epic game played at the PCA Stadium in Mohali where he can be seen celebrating the victory while being on his knees while Dhoni is walking towards him.

However, Sakshi took to Twitter on Thursday evening with a one-line message. The post read:  “Its called rumours!”

Earlier, during the press conference after announcement of India’s 15-member Test squad against South Africa, chief selector MSK Prasad too quashed such reports by saying: “No update on MS Dhoni’s retirement, the news is incorrect.”
