ALL-OUT EFFORTS FOR AFRO-ASIAN SOLIDARITY.



NEW DELHI, October 26 (PTI). PRESIDENT NASSER of the U.A.R. and the Prime Minister, Mrs Indira Gandhi, today reiterated their countries’ resolve to actively co-operate with each other for achievement of Afro-Asian solidarity and forging the policy of non-alignment.  They were speaking at a civic reception to President Nasser at the historic Red Fort. The External Affairs Minister, Mr. Swaran Singh, the Irrigation and Power Minister, Mr. Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed, members of the diplomatic corps and Parliament were among those present on the occasion.  President Nasser said that India had assumed a pioneering role in the achievement of Afro-Asian solidarity and forging the policy of non-alignment. He said: “India joins her efforts today to the efforts of those who call for the liberation of the world economy from the domination of monopoly, not only as a principle of justice, but as a necessity for peace.”
