Keshub Day at Lahore

THE birth anniversary of Mahatma Keshub Chandra Sen, the great religious and social reformer and founder of 'the New Dispensation' of the Brahmo Samaj, was celebrated in a befitting manner at Lahore. There was a large gathering at the Brahmo Mandir of the elite of the Lahore community including both ladies and gentlemen of light and leading. Eloquent tributes were paid to the Mahatma's work and mission. Professor G.S. Chowla, M.A., of the Government College invited attention to the note of universalism found in Keshub's work. He included all races and classes within the fold of his church and selections from all the scriptures of the world were accepted as the foundation of Divine wisdom. The great teacher emphasized the necessity of a harmonious development of character.
