120 get placement on Day 3

Around 480 candidates appeared for job interviews on the third day of the mega job fair, which is under way at Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU) on Friday. The seven companies have shortlisted 170 candidates and selected 120 candidates.

Out of the registered companies, two did not turn up to conduct interviews on Friday. Nahar Group and Adesh Hospital were among the firms that conducted interviews. On Saturday, 28 companies (including two from Friday’s) would be conducting interviews and a majority of the companies are from the IT sector.

More than 600 candidates have been shortlisted and 250 candidates selected by 35 companies that participated in the job fair in the past three days.

Deputy Commissioner Parneet said, “The mega job fair will continue till November 19 and interested candidates can visit the venue and appear for job interviews.” — TNS
