Bathinda: A police official posted at the Balianwali police station has been transferred to Police Lines over the allegations of facilitating a man to get supply of drugs.



Bathinda: A police official posted at the Balianwali police station has been transferred to Police Lines over the allegations of facilitating a man to get supply of drugs. As per information, ASI Lakhbir Singh Poohla has been transferred as in a video a man named him for facilitating him in getting drugs. A few days ago, residents of Balianwali village had apprehended a village resident with drugs and took him to the police station. When the villagers pressured the man in front of the police, he allegedly named the ASI for facilitating him in getting drugs and a video of same went viral on social media. A senior police official said the ASI had been transferred on the basis of the video and an inquiry has been marked to the Maur DSP. Further action would be taken after the probe, he added.
