Body of man found floating on lake

BATHINDA: The dead body of a 45-year-old man was recovered under mysterious circumstances by the police from the lake on Friday morning.

The dead body of a 45-year-old man was recovered under mysterious circumstances by the police from the lake on Friday morning. As per sources, the body was floating on water and passersby informed city-based NGO Sahara Jav Seva.

Members of the NGO reached Lake Number 1 near the Bathinda-Goniana road and informed the police. Police officials reached the spot and members of the NGO fished out the body.

The deceased could not be identified initially but then the NGO members clicked his pictures and uploaded these on social media. Later, the deceased was identified as Anil Kumar, son of Raj Kumar from Shri Ganganagar.

According to the family, Anil was depressed for the past few days and went missing four days ago.

The police got his post-mortem done at the Civil Hospital. — TNS
