Bathinda: The Education Department organised a camp-cum-cultural activity programme for specially abled children at Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Mall Road, here on Wednesday.
The children were provided with various aids and equipment, including five tricycles, 41 wheelchairs, five braille slate, a smart phone, five daisy players, 30 calipers, 14 rolleters, 8 crutches, 56 hearing aids and 17 CP chairs, free of cost during the event.
Differently abled students from District Special Resource Centre (DSRC) and other government schools took part in cultural activities.
Parents of differently abled kids reached the camp venue in the morning and lined up at counters for registration.
The Education Department organises the camp for such children every year.
