Rain forecast for Dec 12, 13

The Meteorological Department has predicted light to moderate rain accompanied by hailstorm and gusty winds in some parts of the district on December 12 and 13. Further, the district is also expected to witness fog on December 14 and 15. The city witnessed another chilly day with the maximum temperature dipping to 20°C on Wednesday.

As per the Agri-Met Department of the regional station of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), Bathinda, the maximum temperature was recorded at 20°C and the minimum at 6.6°C on Wednesday. On Tuesday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 22.8°C and minimum temperature was 6°C.

As per the advisory, active western disturbances have started affecting the western Himalayan region from Tuesday night. Rain is likely to commence from southwestern parts of Punjab, including Ferozepur, Muktsar, Bathinda, Faridkot and Mansa and western parts of Haryana, including Sirsa, Hisar and Bhiwani from Wednesday night. — TNS
