A 60-year-old woman of Maur Mandi was allegedly beaten up by six persons of the same village and later stripped. The accused also made her nude video, which they later posted on social media.

The accused were suspecting that the woman had an illicit relationship with a person and she had kept that person in her house.

The woman has stated that the accused were her grandsons, but they had a grudge that her relative had given his house on rent to her. She said the accused wanted to get the house vacated.

Officials at the Maur police station have recorded the statement of the woman and registered a case against six persons. The accused are absconding and the police are conducting raids to arrest them.

In the complaint, it has been stated that she lives with her husband in a rented house in the village and as both are elderly, they have also offered accommodation to Makhan Singh of the same village, who helps them in household works.

Jagraj Singh, living near their house, was suspecting that they had offered accommodation to Makhan Singh for wrong reasons.

She has also stated that on the night of July 15, around 12 am, accused Jagraj Singh, Jagpal Singh, Nimma Singh, Dhira Singh, Lovely Singh and Jassi Singh entered her house by scaling the wall and started beating her up.

Further, she said the accused later removed her clothes and made her nude video, which they posted on social media.

She also has stated that accused Jugraj Singh, with a motive to get the house vacated, that was given to her on rent by his brother, made false allegations.

Investigating officer inspector Harjit Singh said the police had registered a case against the accused.
