Soon, electric train from Bathinda to Rewari

BATHINDA: With the electrification of the railway line between Bathinda and Hisar, passengers will soon be able to travel in electric trains from Bathinda to Rewari.

With the electrification of the railway line between Bathinda and Hisar, passengers will soon be able to travel in electric trains from Bathinda to Rewari. The electrification work on this line was on for the past few months and in a month’s time, electric train service will start on this railway line.

A trial run was conducted by officials from the Jaipur railway division late on Wednesday evening. The trial was conducted from Bathinda junction to Sirsa railway station.

Sushil Chandar, Railway Safety Commissioner, Jaipur division, said “The Central Organisation for railway electrification has completed the work on 157-km Bathinda-Hisar track recently. After conducting the first trial, the inspection report will be submitted to the head office.”

The railway officials said after the completion of electrification work from Rewari to Hisar, passengers would be able to travel from Bathinda to Rewari in electric trains, which would also save time, besides being safe for the environment. The Bathinda to Rewari track is of 299 km.

Railway officials added that the electrification work from Rewari to Hisar would be completed by the end of this year.
