Malout: Demanding regular employment and end of contractual system of hiring sweepers, members of the Sweepers’ Union on Tuesday lodged a protest at the Municipal Council’s office.

Body recovered

Barnala: After the recovery of a body from Handiaya to Dhanauala road on Monday night, the police have registered a case . A police team from the Handiaya police post reached the spot after getting information. The body was taken to the Barnala Civil Hospital. The deceased has been identified as Gurmeet Singh. Handiaya police post in-charge Gursimarjit Singh abstained from saying anything. TNS
