Two arrested for fraud

Bathinda: The Diyalpura police on Thursday arrested two persons for allegedly defrauding the cooperative society at Jallal village.



Bathinda: The Diyalpura police on Thursday arrested two persons for allegedly defrauding the cooperative society at Jallal village. Both accused were send to judicial custody by a local court. The accused have been identified as Buta Singh, a resident of Jallal, and the other person also known by the name Buta Singh, a resident of Pakharwadd village. A case was registered on the complaint of Parminder Singh, a resident of the same village, a member of the society. According to the complaint, Buta Singh, son of Madho Singh, attached papers of his land as security before joining the duty as clerk in the society. After some time, Buta Singh removed the documents of his land and filled the papers of the land of Buta Singh, son of Surjeet Singh. When it came to the notice of the society, the police booked both and a case was registered against them under Sections 420, 465, 467,468, 471 and 120-B of the IPC.
