The UT Education Department today rolled out the common admission schedule for admission to entry-level class (nursery) in unaided recognised private schools for the 2020-21 session for the general category, economically weaker section (EWS) and disadvantaged groups (DG).

Schools have to display the information regarding admission on the notice board and website by December 2. The issue and receipt of admission form will be between December 3 and December 16.

The forms will be made available for free on the school website. The list of eligible candidate will be displayed on school notice board and website by January 16, 2020.

The finalisation of selected candidates and display of waiting list will be done by January 31, 2020. Deposit of fee of selected candidates will be done by February 12.

The Section 12 of the Right to Education Act mandates all private unaided schools to admit at least 25 per cent children belonging to the weaker sections and disadvantaged groups.

In case of EWS/GD students, the dates for issue and receipt of admission forms will be from December 3 to January 31.
