GoZero Mobility — a British electric bike manufacturer — has forayed into Indian market. To begin with it has launched two of its flagship products - ‘One’ and ‘Mile’ performance e-bikes in Delhi which will be rolled out in the rest of the country in a phased manner. Both the e-bikes come with lockable battery pack, which makes it convenient to charge and carry. ‘Mile’ comes at Rs 29,999 while ‘One’ is priced at Rs 32,999.

Mobile advt spend up for 84% respondents: Report

With growing focus on digital marketing and AdTech sector, the budget allocation reflects exponential growth for mobile marketing.  In a report released recently by MoMAGIC Technologies titled ‘Disrupting Mobile Ad Tech in India: Delivering User Experience’, 84% respondents stated a jump in their budgets for mobile ad spends within the spectrum of digital marketing. The survey was conducted among top 70 marketing and advertising decision makers across sectors in India over three months. 

Kalgidhar Society to start solar energy project 

Akal University, Talwandi Sabo, Bathinda, will soon commission Punjab's largest 1.2 MW rural solar energy project - only rural solar energy project by any educational institute in the state. The university is run by Kalgidhar Society based at Baru Sahib, near Rajgarh in Sirmour, Himachal Pradesh. The Kalgidhar Society is currently running 129 Akal Academies and three universities in the rural areas of North India. 

Punjab to sow cotton in 3.50 lakh hectares 

Dr Sutantar Kumar Airi, director, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Punjab, has said to promote crop diversification and to save underground water, the state has decided to cover 3.50 lakh hectares under cotton during kharif 2019 as compared to 2.75 lakh hectares in 2018. The state has already issued instructions to all chief agricultural officers of the cotton belt to make all necessary arrangements for the same. 

Dr Avtar Singh organises workshop in Singapore

Dr Avtar Singh, chief orthopaedic surgeon, Amandeep Hospital, Amritsar, recently conducted a cadaver workshop on robotic- assisted knee replacement surgery in Singapore for Malaysia and Singapore surgeons. It was attended by prominent surgeons from all major hospitals of Malaysia.
