Zirakpur, December 18
The police have booked a Zirakpur resident for allegedly raping a 22-year-old model on the pretext of marrying her.
The complainant stated that the suspect, identified as Varinder Bhangoo, won her confidence on the pretext of marriage and offering professional assignments. The suspect continued to exploit her and later left her.
When she approached the court, the suspect agreed to marry her after she took back the case. Later, he called her to a hotel and raped her but refused to marry her.
After investigating the complaint, the Zirakpur police registered a case against the suspect and started searching for him. — TNS
