34 fresh cases in Mohali dist

Mohali, January 18

The district reported 34 fresh cases of Covid during the past 24 hours, taking the tally to 19,053. No death due to the disease was reported, while 54 more patients recovered from the virus.

Among the new cases, 28 were reported from Mohali (urban), three from Dhakoli, two from Gharuan and one from Kurali. Of the 19,053 cases reported from the district so far, 17,889 patients have been cured. There are now 810 active cases, while 354 persons have succumbed to the disease.

Chandigarh reports 27 cases

Chandigarh: The city on Monday reported 27 fresh cases of Covid, taking the tally to 20,564 and the toll to 330. A total of 53 more patients recovered from the disease in the past 24 hours. TNS

Panchkula sees one death

Panchkula: The district witnessed a fatality due to Covid-19 in the past 24 hours, taking the toll to 146. Nine fresh Covid cases were reported on Monday, taking the tally to 10,358. Civil Surgeon Jasjit Kaur said the deceased was a 74-year-old woman from Sector 15. There are 180 active cases in the district now. TNS
