CGC-Jhanjeri holds talk on dengue prevention

KHARAR: The Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC), Jhanjeri, organised a talk on prevention of dengue and physical fitness.

The Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC), Jhanjeri, organised a talk on prevention of dengue and physical fitness.

Dr Sachin Verma, MD, Internal Medicine, was the key speaker. He explained to the students major symptoms of dengue fever and advised them not to panic. He said dengue treatment was affordable and a patient could be cured with minimum possible medicines.

He also appealed to the students to donate blood in case someone needed the same for increasing his/her platelets immediately. Dr Santosh Thakur, MPT orthopaedics, gave tips on physical fitness.

Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, president of the Chandigarh Group of Colleges, said that they was very concerned about the physical fitness of their students. They had provided gymnasiums with ultra-modern equipment in both boys hostel and girls hostel, he added.
