In a proud moment for the city, local cricketer Ayush Sikka has been selected to represent North Zone in the upcoming Vizzy Trophy.

Vizzy Trophy is a national-level tournament being organised by the AIU (Association of Indian Universities) in collaboration with the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India), an official statement issued here read.

Sikka is the only player from the city to make it to the squad. The right-arm all-rounder is a registered player of Union Territory Cricket Association (UTCA) Chandigarh and is a student of DAV College, Sector 10.

The tournament will be held in Assam from March 10 to 16. A total of four Zones — East, South, West and North — will participate in BCCI Vizzy Trophy. Sikka recently represented Panjab University in the North Zone Inter-University Cricket Tournament.
