Chandigarh: City-based Gunjan Gupta has generated Rs 75,000 for donating the amount to PM CARES Fund. The funds were raised by auctioning an art collection, ‘Silver Linings’, comprising 25 paintings. “I wanted to help to the needy. I immediately designed a dedicated website and approached my friends and family members,” said Gunjan, a resident of Chandigarh, who is pursuing her studies in Hong Kong. TNS

Masks, sanitisers distributed

Chandigarh: Congress leaders on Monday distributed masks, sanitisers and packets of juice among safai karamcharis of the MC. City Congress president Pardeep Chhabra and youth Congress president Love Kumar said safai karamcharis were working on the forefront. Chhabra said safai karamcharis should also be provided with PPE kits. “They deserve all safety equipment as they are also putting their lives at risk,” Chhabra added. TNS
