Dr Kanchan is new GMC Vice-Principal

PATIALA:Dr Kanchan Bhardwaj, Professor and Head, Department of Transfusion Medicine (Blood Bank), Government Medical College, Patiala, was appointed Vice-Principal of the college today.



Patiala, December 9

Dr Kanchan Bhardwaj, Professor and Head, Department of Transfusion Medicine (Blood Bank), Government Medical College, Patiala, was appointed Vice-Principal of the college today. She took charge of her office in the presence of Dr Harjinder Singh, Principal, Dr Girish Sahni, OSD to the Chief Minster, Dr BL Bhardwaj, a former Principal of the college, and Dr VK Dangwal, Deputy Medical Superintendent.

Dr DS Bhullar, general secretary, Punjab State Medical and Dental Teachers Association, thanked    the government for this appointment and welcomed the decision.

Since 2012, she has been working as the head of the Department of Transfusion Medicine. During her tenure, the department has got four state awards for best performance. — TNS
