Five lose life in Panchkula, toll 85

The district today reported five Covid-induced deaths, pushing the toll to 85.

An 84-year-old woman from Sector 10, a 67-year-old man from Sector 27, a 40-year-old woman from Kalka, an 80-year-old woman from Sector 16 and a 73-year-old woman from the MDC, Sector 4, succumbed to the disease.

The district also witnessed 60 new Covid cases.

The fresh cases include six from Indira Colony, five from Sector 9, four each from Sector 10 and Sector 15, three each from Sector 26 and Sector 7, two each from Abheypur, the MDC, Sector 4, Pinjore, Raipur Rani, Rajiv Colony, Sector 12-A, Sector 20, Sector 21 and Sector 25, one each from Amravati Enclave, Barwala, Buddanpur, Hangola, Kalka, the MDC, Sector 5, Naggal, the Police Lines, Rehor, Sector 11, Sector 12 and Sector 14. — TNS
