Mohali, June 2
The third evacuation flight, under the Vande Bharat Mission of the Union Government to evacuate stranded Indian nationals, carrying 153 passengers from Dubai via New Delhi, landed at the Chandigarh international airport this evening.
Dr Sanjit Singh, one of the passengers and a resident of Phase 3B1, said they were asked to report four hours before boarding at the airport in Dubai. They had to go under rapid testing and were kept under observation.
All passengers underwent medical screening and nobody was found symptomatic. The passengers hailing from the district would not be sent home as of now. They would be quarantined at various government facilities and hotels for 14 days as a precautionary measure. — TNS
