Panchkula, February 28
The constant to-and-fro movement of Congress legislators of Himachal Pradesh in and out of Panchkula amid the hill state’s political slugfest kept the district police on their toes on Wednesday. The matter raised questions on the state government’s use of police force as well.
Senior police officials in the district failed to comment on the matter while sources in the department said officials were deputed with the legislators in civil clothes.
