Mohali, February 20
The Special Task Force (STF) arrested a person for possessing 110-gm heroin from the traffic lights of Phase 3 and 5.
The suspect has been identified as Kuldeep Singh, alias Gosal, a resident of Phase 7, Mohali.
According to the police, Kuldeep was heading towards Bougainvillea garden, Phase 4, for delivering the contraband to one of his customers.
During his inspection, 10-gm heroin was recovered from the suspect on the spot.
Kuldeep confessed that he had also hidden 100-gm heroin at his house, which was recovered by the STF.
A case has been registered against the suspect under the NDPS Act at STF police station.
The suspect was produced before a local court today, which sent him to three-day police custody.
