Ojaswini, Guntas finish on top

CHANDIGARH:Ojaswini Mahajan carded a gross total of 162 to win the girls’ U-7 title on the concluding day of the The Milkha Junior Golf Championship at the Chandigarh Golf Club here on Wednesday.

Ojaswini Mahajan carded a gross total of 162 to win the girls’ U-7 title on the concluding day of the The Milkha Junior Golf Championship at the Chandigarh Golf Club here on Wednesday. 

Guntas Kaur Sandhu (135) topped the girls’ U-8 category, while Mahika Garg (126) dominated the field in the girls’ U-9 age-group. Anaya Pahwa with a score of 242 won the girls’ U-10 title. 

Niyati Dhillon (261) led the field in the girls’ U-11 category and Diya Brar (246) emerged the sole winner in the girls’ U-12 category. Jia Kataria (246), Sakshi Mehta (264) and Heena Kang (223) also topped their respective categories. 

Zorawar Sandhu (151) won the boys’ U-6 title, while Jaibir Singh Kang (133) claimed the U-7 title. Devvrat S Rajawat (134) topped the U-8 age-group. Mahir Sharma, Anshul Mishra, Kuldeep Singh Dhesi, Ajay Pal, Jujhar Singh (222), Aryan Singh and Aditya Sood also triumphed. 

Meanwhile, Heena Kang, Jia Kataria, Jujhar Singh and Aditya Sood have earned a spot to compete in the Jakarta Junior World Golf Championship scheduled to be held in May. — TNS
