Panchkula, March 18
Deadlock continues between the judiciary and Panchkula lawyers as the latter has decided to continue their strike over allegations of a Judge asking a lawyer to leave the court.
It is alleged that the Judge had asked the lawyer to leave the court. The lawyers are on strike since March 14.
Meanwhile, hardly any work could be carried out at the Panchkula District Courts. The lawyers have represented before the Sessions Judge, who is learnt to have forwarded their complaint to the inspecting judge.
The lawyers met this afternoon and decided to continue their strike on Tuesday as well. Talks between the judiciary and the lawyers are yet to begin. — TNS
