Panchkula, May 21

The Panchkula Municipal Corporation will soon start bus service to various religious and tourist places in the district. The civic body has also decided to float tenders for the purchase of an electronic or double-decker bus for the project.

The tours will be offered to the tourists coming from outside the district at cheaper rates, said Mayor Kulbhushan Goyal, adding that he has instructed executive engineer Sanjeev Kumar to expedite the process of purchasing the bus.

TENDERS SOON

The Mayor said the MC would soon float tenders for purchase of bus at cheaper rates but with better facilities. The bus will cover parks in the Panchkula city, Pinjore gardens, Nada Sahib Gurdwara, Mansa Devi temple, Kalka Ji temple in Kalka and other religious places.

The Mayor said the MC would soon float tenders for purchase of bus at cheaper rates but with better facilities.

After procuring the bus, bookings will be done on priority basis, he said. “The bus service is being started keeping in view the demand of the city residents and tourists coming from other states,” said the Mayor.

The bus will be parked at a designated place, preferably where most of the hotels are located, and passengers will be dropped at the same place on return, Goyal informed.

“All the procedures for the purchase of bus and fixing the route will be completed by the time corona gets over,” he said.

The bus will cover parks in the Panchkula city, Pinjore gardens, Nada Sahib Gurdwara, Mansa Devi temple, Kalka Ji temple in Kalka and other religious places.
