Panchkula, March 28

The district on Sunday reported 169 fresh cases of Covid, taking the overall tally to 12,748. This is the highest spike in a day in the past six months. With no fresh death, the toll remained 154. While 11,630 patients have recovered from the disease so far, 964 cases are active. The recovery rate stands at 91.22 per cent.

Panchkula Civil Surgeon Dr Jasjeet Kaur said, “The Health Department appeals to residents to not to gather in large groups during the Holi celebrations. Stay at home and play safely with you family.” “Come forward and get vaccinated on Tuesday and Wednesday. A large number of sites are being planned for this mega drive,” she said.
