Rally marks World Post Day in Ambala

AMBALA: The Department of Posts started its weeklong National Postal Week celebrations with World Post Day here today.

The Department of Posts started its weeklong National Postal Week celebrations with World Post Day here today.

Ranju Prasad, Chief Postmaster General (CPMG), Haryana circle, said the Universal Postal Union was formed on October 9, 1874. During National Postal Week, liaison was made with public and business establishments and they were made aware of the services provided by the department.

A rally was organised on the occasion of World Post Day today. Various events will be organised till October 15, including Banking Day on October 10, Postal Life Insurance Day on October 11, Philately Day on October 12, Business Development Day on October 14 and Mails Day on October 15.
