State boxing c’ship from June 18

CHANDIGARH:The Chandigarh Amateur Boxing Association (CABA) will organise the 34th Sub Junior Men & 15th Sub-Junior Women State Boxing Championships will be held at the Sector 42 Sports Complex from June 18 to 19.

The Chandigarh Amateur Boxing Association (CABA) will organise the 34th Sub Junior Men & 15th Sub-Junior Women State Boxing Championships will be held at the Sector 42 Sports Complex from June 18 to 19. 

The boxers born in the year 2005 and 2006 will be eligible to participate in the 14 weight categories from 33kg to +70kg. All the participants are required to bring their original Date of Birth certificates and identify card signed by the principal/head of their respective institution. 

The weighing in will be held on June 18 at the tournament venue. 

During the championships, the organisers will also select teams   for participating in the National Sub- Junior Boxing Championships.

Jerath appointed as technical delegate  

Dr CK Jerath, president CABA, has been nominated by the Boxing Federation of India as Technical Delegate for the conduct of the 3rd Youth National Men & Women Boxing Championships, at Rudrapur, June 8 to 13. More than 700 boxers and technical officials of different states will participate in this championship.
