Tribune flyover: Punjab, Hry have no objections

Chandigarh, December 20

Punjab and Haryana have no objections to the construction of the Tribune flyover.

UT Adviser Manoj Parida invited officers of both states and the Ministry of Road and Transport to seek their views on the project at a meeting held today.

While staying cutting of trees, the High Court Bench directed the UT to undertake the exercise of examining the issue after taking suggestions and views of all stakeholders.

The Bench directed the UT to place suggestion reports or conclusions before the court for the purpose of further orders from the Bench regarding cutting of trees.

Parida said the project had received full support from Punjab and Haryana in the meeting. — TNS
