14 arrested with drugs

AMRITSAR: The police have arrested 14 persons for reportedly possessing banned drugs and heroin.

The police have arrested 14 persons for reportedly possessing banned drugs and heroin.

Arun Bhatti of Lahori Gate area was caught with 855 intoxicating tablets while Malkeet Singh of Lahorimal village was held with 900 tablets. Similarly, Sukhdayal Singh of Chamiyari was arrested with 700 tablets while Prince Kumar and Ravi Kumar of Lohgarh village were nabbed for possessing 450 intoxicating tablets.

Bhupinder Singh and Satnam Singh of Khiala Kalan village were caught with 120 tablets. Jaspinder Singh of Shukar Chak village, Jagroop Singh of Muhawa village and Meharban Singh of Jabbowal were held with 150, 190 and 100 intoxicating tablets, respectively. Daljit Singh of Chawinda Devi village and Ranjit Singh of Babowal village were arrested with 165 tablets and 195 capsules, respectively.

Similarly Akashdeep Singh of Jastarwal village and Major Masih of Naagkalan village were arrested with 3 gm and 2 gm of heroin.

Separate cases under the NDPS Act have been registered against them.
