Relatives of 47-year-old Harjit Singh Jeeta of Dilawalpur village, who was found murdered under mysterious circumstances by the roadside in Jamarai village, staged a protest in front of the District Administrative Complex (DAC) here on Thursday.

They demanded action against the deceased’s wife, blaming her for the murder. Residents of Dilawalpur village accompanied the protesters. The protesters said the body would not be cremated until the killers were arrested. The body is kept in the mortuary of the Civil Hospital.
