The Patti Sadar police have arrested a member of a gang of vehicle lifters and recovered a stolen motorcycle from his possession.
Apolice team, led by Assistant Sub Inspector Charan Singh, arrested Gurjant Singh of Sabhra village with a stolen splendor motorcycle. The bike was without number plate.
Three of the gang members, identified as Inderjit Singh, Arwinder Singh and Gurpreet Singh, all resident of the same village, were at large. The police have registered a case under Sections 379, 411 of the IPC.
The police are hopeful of arresting the absconding accused at the earliest.
