Docs seek action against ‘tipsy’ cop

MALOUT: Doctors of the Civil Hospital here on Saturday threatened to lodge a protest on Monday if the local police failed to take action against a policeman, who was allegedly drunk and misbehaved with hospital staff and a doctor.

Doctors of the Civil Hospital here on Saturday threatened to lodge a protest on Monday if the local police failed to take action against a policeman, who was allegedly drunk and misbehaved with hospital staff and a doctor.

They said that the cop had come when an attendant of a deceased man misbehaved with hospital staff and they reported the matter to the police. However, after reaching the hospital, the drunk cop too misbehaved with them, claimed the doctors. Meanwhile, Jasvir Singh, SHO, City police station, said they had received the complaint and were investigating the matter. — TNS
