Bansal dares Kher to debate on development

CHANDIGARH: Congress Lok Sabha candidate from Chandigarh Pawan Kumar Bansal has thrown an open challenge to sitting BJP MP Kirron Kher to choose a place and time of her choice for an open debate on development issues in the UT.

Congress Lok Sabha candidate from Chandigarh Pawan Kumar Bansal has thrown an open challenge to sitting BJP MP Kirron Kher to choose a place and time of her choice for an open debate on development issues in the UT.

Bansal said he would expose the reason why the Metro project brought to the city by him was scuttled by Kher.

The former Union Minister was addressing a gathering at the Congress Bhawan in Sector 35 where city Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) general secretary Satish Machal and several others joined the Congress. The new entrants were welcomed into the party fold by Bansal and city Congress president Pardeep Chhabra, who said apart from AAP, representatives of other parties and various organisations had joined the Congress.

The others who joined the Congress are Mani Majra Beopar Mandal president Malkit Singh and former MC General Election candidate from Mani Majra Narinder Kumar, along with their associates Gola Pehalwan, Raman, Gurnam Singh, Naresh Gautam, Nawab Ali, Lucky, Sonu, Vikram Thakur, Sanjay Kumar Titu, Rajnish Patra, Arun Machal, Deepak Machal and Nand Kishore.

Rawat predicts massive victory for Bansal

Congress star campaigner Harish Rawat on Sunday predicted a huge victory for party Lok Sabha candidate from Chandigarh Pawan Kumar Bansal.

Addressing a gathering, organised by the Uttarakhand Cell of the Chandigarh Congress at Ramleela Ground in Sector 43, the AICC General Secretary in-charge of two North-Eastern states and former Uttarakhand Chief Minister appealed to the people to send Bansal to the Parliament again by a huge margin and bring the Congress back to power at the Centre.
