City girl wins silver in skeet shooting c’ship

PATIALA:Asees Chhina of Punjabi University, Patiala, won two medals in the skeet shooting women’s event at the All-India Inter University Championship 2019 held at New Delhi from November 12 of 15.

Asees Chhina of Punjabi University, Patiala, won two medals in the skeet shooting women’s event at the All-India Inter University Championship 2019 held at New Delhi from November 12 of 15. She won silver medal in individual event and silver in team event. She won the medal by scoring the second-best points of 112 out of 125 targets. 

Ganemat Sekhon and Areeba Khan won gold and bronze in the same event. On the basis of the championship, Asees was selected for the World University Championship to be held in Czech Republic next year.  — TNS
